The following passages of Scripture summarize this glorious plan of salvation.
God loves all of us! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
But we are all sinners! “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:24)
And sin has a penalty! “For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)
Christ has paid our penalty! “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Ro 5: 8)
Salvation is a gift from God! “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8, 9)
Christ is knocking at the door of our hearts! “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
We must receive Him by faith into our hearts! “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)
The Way to Salvation Includes the following: Placing Your Faith in Christ which involves
(1) Acknowledging our sin and our need for Christ to save us
(2) Turning from our will and way to God’s will and way.
(3) Accepting Christ into our hearts as Lord and Savior by faith.
Lord Jesus,
I confess that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I thank you for dying on the cross for my sins and rising from the dead to live forevermore. Today, I turn from my sins and invite you into my life as my personal Savior. I am willing to follow and obey you as Lord of my life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal and abundant life.
Amen.
